As translators, I must say there are certain words that we find a little challenging to convert into a local language. Most of these words are those that are influenced by other languages. For example translators who come from countries where English is official language, some the words in the local languages spoken in that country tend to be influenced by English. As translators we do our best to put this words in the local dialect but the audiences some times may not understand as they are used the pronouncing them in the way influenced by English.
I am a full-time German to English translator. This blog is my creative outlet to share my knowledge and random musings. Despite the title of my blog, I am generally available for translation work - even if there might be a delay of a few days. You can contact me at gertoeng AT jill-sommer.com.
